This Japanese kanji is "Mother(mom)".

This Japanese kanji is "Daughter".
The pronunciation is "musume".

And, this Japanese kanji idiom is "Mother and daughter.

* "Mother and daughter" in Japanese kanji is "母娘" though "Mother and daughter" in Chinese kanji is "母女".

This Japanese kanji idiom means "mother and daughter" kind of as a unit, or as if mother and daughter are a whole together.

They might even read it as meaning "a mother and daughter without a dad".

Well, these Japanese kanji has some pronunciations respectively.

"母(Mother)" in Japanese kanji has pronunciation "haha and bo".
"娘(Daughter)" in Japanese kanji has pronunciation "musume and jou".

However, the pronunciation of Japanese kanjij idiom "Mother and daughter" is "oyako".

The pronunciation of Kanjji "Mother" changes into "oya".
And the pronunciation of kanji "Daughter" changes into "ko".

Perhaps, I think that this is an exceptional pronunciation.
