What is a Chopstick ?
Chopsticks are easting utensils consisting of a set of two tapered sticks, often made of wood, metal or plastic, and are eating utensils used widely in Asia, particularly China, Korea, Japan, and Thailand.
The Japanese word for chopstick is "はし/箸(hashi)".
Almost all Japanese chopsticks are made from wood or plastic.
Chopsticks are used by billions of Asia people.
Using chopsticks properly does require some practice, and each culture which uses chopsticks has its own traditions and superstitions surrounding the eating utensils.
How to use chopsticks
*Hold the other chopstick between the tips of the index and middle fingers, steady its upper half against the base of the index finger, and use the tips of the thumb to keep it in place.
* Place the first chopstick in the hollow between thumb and index finger and rest its lower end below the first joint of the third finger.
