The kanji word "油(abura)" is used for liquid oil such as the oil for cooking, the lubricant, the fuel, the mineral oil, and the animal oil.
The kanji word "脂(abura) or 膏(abura)" is used for "Flora and fauna fat", and they are solid fat.
In addition, there is a word of "油脂(yushi)" as the generic name of those two words in Japanese.

By the way, kanji "脂(abura)" is used for "Oily skin[=脂性肌(shisei hada)" in Japanese.

*Rarely Used Words: "Yayako(ややこ/稚児/嬰児)"
It is an old-fashioned word though "Yayako" means the baby.
Word "Yayako" is used in the Samurai drama for TV and the Samurai movie, etc.
